What is SMEC?
SMEC is a five-day engaging experience aimed at igniting students' passion to explore a variety of fields in medicine and science while revealing career paths in these areas. The program offers a practical experience through workshops that focus on clinical problem-solving, advice from medical experts, and introductions to allopathic, osteopathic, and alternative medical fields.

Hands on simulations for a greater understanding of what it's like to practice in the field.

Formulates a doable and realistic strategy of future educational training for each student.

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL:

ELGIBILITY
-
Have an interest in a career within the health profession.

Be a high school student in the 9-12 grade level.
-
Be a US citizen or have permanent resident status.

Submit a completed application.

Pay a non-refundable application fee. (Fee will be applied to tuition.)

Hold a current G.P.A. at time of applying of 2.5 or higher.

Submit a personal statement. (Limit 500 words)

Submit a copy of high school transcripts.

Submit a CV or resume that includes extra-curricular activities.

Complete an admission interview.

Obtain parental/guardianship approval for those under 17 years of age.
